NextOrbit outplacement software

Outplacement support people can use to land their next role

Give each employee leaving your organisation a private NextOrbit workspace, funded with Kinetokens for AI resume tailoring, cover letters, interview prep and application tracking. You manage invitations and budget. They keep control of their search.

Why it matters

Advice helps. Applications are the work.

After a redundancy, people are suddenly managing job ads, tailored resumes, cover letters, recruiter calls, interviews and follow-ups, often while dealing with the shock of the change. Workshops and guidance are valuable, but what makes the difference day to day is having a system that turns that guidance into strong, organised applications.

NextOrbit started when its founder was made redundant after more than 15 years in healthcare and clinical trials and found the search itself hard to manage. It is built for exactly that moment.

How it works

From redundancy to a working job search

Kinetos Labs sets up your organisation with you. From then on, your team runs invitations and budget from the NextOrbit manager portal.

01

Set up your organisation

We create and verify your organisation, and you choose a plan that fits your program size.

02

Fund your Kinetoken pool

Buy Kinetoken packs into one organisation pool that funds every invite.

03

Invite each person

Send an invite by email with a Kinetoken allocation. The invite screen shows what that allocation covers.

04

They run their search

Each person gets a private workspace. When the support period ends, it becomes fully theirs.

Privacy

Support, not surveillance

People who have just lost their job should not feel watched by their former employer. NextOrbit separates what your organisation manages from what each person owns.

For HR and program leads

Clear controls for the people running the program

The manager portal keeps invitations, budget and records in one place, so the program is simple to run and easy to account for.

Invitations

Invite by email, track pending and accepted invites, and resend or cancel pending ones.

Kinetoken allocations

Set a default allocation, choose Standard or larger presets, or enter a custom amount for each invite.

One organisation pool

See available and reserved Kinetokens, buy more packs, and allocate extra Kinetokens to someone who needs them.

Records and exports

Keep purchase history and export invite and billing records as CSV for reporting and reconciliation.

After the support period

A clean hand-over, not a cut-off

Support periods are agreed when we set up your organisation: 30 days by default for outplacement, with longer options for extended transitions. When the period ends, the person's link to your organisation ends too.

  • Their workspace, documents and applications stay with them.
  • Any Kinetokens they have left are theirs to keep.
  • They receive an email confirming the workspace is now fully their own.

Frequently asked questions

Outplacement software questions

What is outplacement software?

Outplacement software gives employees who are leaving an organisation tools to find their next role, paid for by the employer. NextOrbit gives each person a private job-search workspace with AI resume tailoring, cover letters, ATS-style review, interview preparation and application tracking.

Can our organisation see what participants do in NextOrbit?

No. Managers see invitations, their status, the Kinetokens allocated to each person, and billing records. They cannot see anyone's resumes, cover letters, job applications or how they use their Kinetokens.

What happens when the support period ends?

The person's connection to your organisation ends, and their NextOrbit workspace becomes fully their own. Any Kinetokens they have left stay with them, and they receive an email confirming the change.

How much does NextOrbit outplacement cost?

Organisations choose a plan and buy Kinetoken packs to fund invites. Plans are sized for different team sizes, and pricing is shown in the manager portal. Contact Kinetos Labs to set up your organisation and discuss the right plan.

Is NextOrbit only for redundancies?

No. The same approach supports voluntary departures, extended career transitions, graduate programs and university career services. Longer support periods are available for programs that need them.

Planning a restructure?
